Abstract: BIQUAD is a software application designed to facilitate the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Quality Assurance (QA) for manufacturing, developed through a collaboration between R2M Solution and Dimac. The application addresses challenges in automatic visual inspection systems, which traditionally rely on comparing images to reference models. Key challenges include preparing extensive training sets from thousands of new parts annually and the scarcity of defective part images, which hampers effective AI training. BIQUAD tackles these issues by streamlining image search and retrieval, simplifying the addition of new parts through AI recognition, and enabling natural language queries. Additionally, it provides tools to create synthetic images of defective parts, enhancing AI training datasets. BIQUAD thus acts as an AI enabler for QA manufacturers, optimizing image classification and search, and facilitating the generation of comprehensive training sets for AI-based QA systems.
