Investment Readiness Level Assessment

MIND4MACHINES applied investment readiness level (IRL) assessment to map investment sources and requirements at the EU, national and regional level with a special focus on the local landscape of the clusters.

The investment readiness level assessment questionnaire allowed SMEs/projects to identify their strengths and weaknesses and developed a tailor-made service programme that addressed their needs and challenges. Based on the scores obtained from the IRL assessment, the SMEs were directed towards the tailored services and courses to improve the specific aspects where improvement was needed or to the Open Calls for direct financial or innovation services support.

The investment readiness level tool was the gateway to our accelerator programme

The aim of the MIND4MACHINES IRL- Assessment is to provide beneficiaries with a detailed understanding of the opportunities from an investor’s perspective, to identify criteria that investors want to know before accessing investment opportunities and to present investment opportunities in order to appear as attractive as possible to investors. This results in added value such as identifying the key strengths and weaknesses of the business, a shared understanding of the objectives, knowledge of the chances of success before a pitch and a consistent score for comparing the company with competitors. In addition to these general added values of theIRL-Assessment, conducting the self-assessment also offers the opportunity to describe the business and investment needs so that the project partners can best invest their resources in providing customized recommendations for the Accelerator Services.

In addition, the IRL-Assessment is used to perform a quality check of the entire Accelerator Programme by requiring the assessment to be completed by the beneficiaries both before and after participation in the Accelerator Programme.

The IRL-Assessment was evaluated as an access report for participants in the MIND4MACHINES Accelerator.

Programme and was carried out by all beneficiaries of the two Open Calls. Each participant was provided with an individual results report.

The tool uses a comprehensive self-assessment questionnaire, which SMEs complete both at the start and the end of an accelerator programme.

The results are used to generate detailed feedback reports, offering insights into each company’s investment readiness and providing tailored recommendations for improvement and what type of services that they should focus on.

By using the Investment Readiness Self-Assessment Tool, SMEs are empowered to refine their business strategies, improve their market positioning, and present themselves as attractive investment opportunities.

Mind4Machines freely shares the principles of the questionnaire, however, its access is reserved to the partners of Mind4Machines
