Abstract: SmartZavod is revolutionizing additive and hybrid manufacturing for SMEs with the world’s first fully automated hybrid 3D printer. This innovation addresses critical barriers such as knowledge gaps, high entry costs, spatial constraints, and diverse material utilization challenges that hinder SMEs from fully embracing 3D printing technology. Key features include an exclusive automatic tool change system and a patented parallel kinematics moving system, enabling the fusion of various material groups (composites, engineering polymers, silicones, ceramics) and eliminating the need for operator involvement. By offering remote control and pay-per-use models, SmartZavod makes high-quality prototyping and complex end-product manufacturing economically viable for SMEs. The solution maximizes material compatibility and diverse printing techniques, enhancing precision and efficiency. Currently at TRL 7, SmartZavod is poised to make advanced hybrid/additive manufacturing accessible, fostering economic growth and sustainable manufacturing practices.
